7/9/14 Day 174 Ireland Roadtrip: Counties Sligo and Donegal

After too many nights in a row camping out, we have a Couchsurfer host in Bundoran for a few days. Bryan is a chill surf bum living just a couple of blocks from the waves. We went out for some nearby live music and beers to unwind after a long day of being in the car.

The next day we set off to see county Donegal and all it has to offer. We reached Slieve League after 45 minutes and hiked up above the cliffs and to the beautiful view from above. We also stopped by to admire the beautiful geologic layeric at Downpatick head. Towards the end of the day we stopped at the beach in Strandhill in Sligo during the day. This beach has amazing sand that stretches as far as the eye can see and at low tide you can walk across the tide flats to the original Coney Island, but the causeway is swallowed up when the tide rises so can only be crossed by foot at certain times of the day.
